On this last day of the Route, the distance between\u00a0Monsanto\u00a0and the\u00a0Sanctuary of F\u00e1tima\u00a0is around\u00a025 km\u00a0and can be covered in approximately\u00a08 hours.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The track continues through the Aire and Candeeiros mountain ranges. Along the landscape of deserted mountain ranges, small valleys and hollows dedicated to agricultural production and small hillside villages emerge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this rural environment, traditional agriculture and herding mark the landscape, with traditional stone walls delimiting properties and protecting herds alongside the occasional artisanal stone shepherd shelters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The shapes and configurations of the natural landscape dominate, especially the area\u2019s well-known caves and caverns, but also the unusual karst formations and the karst polje of Mira-Minde. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The approach to F\u00e1tima is marked by the contrast between the rural and the urban, the latter naturally associated with the construction of the Sanctuary.
