{"id":4701,"date":"2024-03-12T16:53:47","date_gmt":"2024-03-12T16:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/caminhosdefatima.org\/sobre\/"},"modified":"2025-04-09T15:53:56","modified_gmt":"2025-04-09T14:53:56","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/caminhosdefatima.org\/en\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">F\u00e1tima Walking Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Religious and cultural routes that offer true spirituality<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The F\u00e1tima Walking Routes are a network of religious and cultural itineraries that start at various locations and end at the Sanctuary of Fatima, one of the world\u2019s greatest pilgrimage destinations.<br>Developed or certified by the National Culture Centre (Centro Nacional de Cultura), that owns the project and the brand, in partnership with multiple institutions and in conjunction with the Sanctuary of F\u00e1tima.<br>They offer pilgrims and hikers safe and pleasant conditions, in communion with nature and religious and cultural experiences. An opportunity to enjoy landscapes, colours and flavours, in contact with welcoming people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who we are<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Culture Center (<strong>Centro Nacional de Cultura<\/strong>) is a private cultural association of public utility founded in 1945. <strong>blue<\/strong> color, symbol of the blue sky and the atmospheric ambience that is experienced directly in the Sanctuary and the surrounding space.<br>The <strong>trademark<\/strong> is owned by the Centro Nacional de Cultura and its use requires authorization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pilgrim\u2019s Credentials for the F\u00e1tima Walking Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"388\" height=\"616\" src=\"https:\/\/caminhosdefatima.org\/_cf\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/credencial.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1735\" style=\"width:162px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the centuries, all those who embarked on a pilgrimage to a holy place enjoyed safe conduct to help them through the difficulties of their journey. Nowadays, walkers and pilgrims have access to the <strong>Pilgrim\u2019s Credential<\/strong>, which helps them identify themselves and which is also proof of the completion of these cultural and spiritual itineraries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the Credential for?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The credential is like a passport, certifying your passage through the various stages of the Ways of Fatima. It can be stamped at each stop made during the walk, at a host organisation which will use its own stamp for this purpose (tourist office, parish, hotel, hostel, restaurant, or other institution). It thus certifies that the Way of Fatima has taken place.<br>The only official and valid credential is the one issued by the National Culture Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where can I get the Credential?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The credential can be picked up at the headquarters of the <strong>National Culture Centre<\/strong> (CNC) in Lisbon. It can also be requested from the CNC by email (info@cnc.pt) or telephone (+351 21 346 67 22).
